The Florida Ballet
Wood, Atter, & Wolf P.A. is proud to announce that they will be a title sponsor for the Florida Ballet Nutcracker Classic.
We understand that the arts are an important component of a strong community. Since 1978, the Florida Ballet has continued their mission to enrich and inspire the cultural landscape of our community.
So, in our consistent drive to service that helps make our community a better place, it was an easy decision to support such a longstanding and respected cultural organization.
About the Florida Ballet
In addition to providing amazing live performances for the general public, the Florida Ballet strives to consistently bring quality dance education and appreciation throughout the Jacksonville area.
Their educational outreach program was created to expose people of all ages to the art of live ballet, regardless of financial or geographical area.
According to their website, “Through a variety of programs such as in-school residencies, lectures, demonstrations, after-school outreach ballet classes, boys programming, abbreviated performances and community collaborations, The Florida Ballet serves nearly 15,000 community members on an annual basis.”
The Florida Ballet Outreach Programs
The Florida Ballet has two community outreach programs specifically aimed at children.
The first is called the In-School Residencies and Lecture Demonstrations program. It follows the motto of “bringing the art of dance and instilling creativity within our city schools.”
A team from The Florida Ballet visit schools throughout the area. They bring an interactive, educational program to your school that features current repertoire.
Opportunities are available for elementary, middle, and high school audiences.
The team encourages audience participation and provide a question and answer session making it an educational and exciting program for students.
The Florida Ballet also offers their After-School Outreach Ballet Classes for students.
From September through May, Florida Ballet instructors will visit schools for weekly after-school classes.
Students receive an 80% discounted rate for the 9-month program. In addition, those who cannot afford the rate can receive partial or full scholarships.
This makes dance accessible to those who might otherwise not have the opportunity to experience the cultural art of ballet.
In addition, if student wish to continue ballet classes, the reduced tuition will continue through the summer classes at the main studio location.
Plus, they are offered special discounts and offers for the Florida Ballet performances throughout the year.
Join Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A. in celebrating the Florida Ballet and the fine art of live ballet dancing.
